Benefit Sugarbomb: The Zero-Calorie, Super Sheer Blush - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Holmes, Benefit just blasted your final reason to fright blush. Their newest boxed beauty, Sugarbomb ($28), is so sheer, then subtle, that even the most 'fraidy cat chroma newbie can safely climb aboard.
When swirled together, the 4 shimmery powders — two shades of peach, a plum and a rose — blend to create a sweetly subtle flush for cheeks.
Before and after
Similar the sheerer lovechild of Do good's Coralista (a bright, shimmery, cool coral) and Dallas (a warm, matte peachy brown) but with touches of plum and gilt shimmer, Sugarbomb scores.
Here I'1000 wearing two layers applied and blended with a blush brush. While information technology'southward unmistakably subtle, I like it a lot. In Sugarbomb I run into a quick and user-friendly way to give a faint flush to cheeks.
Other stuff I similar virtually it…
- It's easy to apply and blend
- The box travels surprisingly well (the box seems to stay shut in my makeup handbag, even though it doesn't have any snaps or anything to hold the lid in place)
- Has a yummy herbal scent that kinda reminds me of Ricola cough drops (LOL!)
A few things to consider…
If yous accept lighter skin than I practice and found Benefit's Coralista to be as well bright for you lot, Sugarbomb might rock your socks off. The sheer, delicate color should really compliment lighter peel.
If you're a darker babe, well, Sugarbomb might non show up on you as easily as it does on gals with medium and light pare. I like it, but you might consider picking upwardly a box of cute Dallas instead.
If you still decide to requite information technology a go, try layering information technology on pinnacle of a more pigmented chroma like MAC Dollymix. That should actually make it POP! Or, use information technology as a highlighter with a castor chroma, sweeping it on the tops of your cheek bones, down the span of your nose, on your chin and at the temples on your brow for a J. Lo-inspired glow.
A faboo chroma for subtle cheeks
Over the holidays I wasn't in the mood to vesture really bright blushes and reached for this practically every mean solar day — I like it *that* much! When I'm in the mood for mellow cheeks, Sugarbomb satisfies my sweet tooth (SIDE NOTE: I merely started a New year's plan to swallow healthier and, quite bluntly, information technology sucks. I could actually employ a few scoops of Nutella right now!).
Like Benefit'south other boxed blushes, Sugarbomb'south non exactly priced for drugstores ($28), but I call back it's a fabulous option for chroma beginners and women who prefer quiet (shhh!) cheek looks. Makeup and Dazzler Weblog Rating: A
